Late model Mercedes-Benz service schedules can be confusing to customers because there are up to seven service schedules available (from A to G) and it is not always obvious what is required or what is included in a service. However, with our knowledge and experience in servicing and repairing Mercedes-Benz vehicles, we can work out what is required and provide you with an estimate of the work needed.
The schedule depends on the model and year of the vehicle.
- 15,000 km or 12 months: “A” Service
- 60,000 km or 4 years: “B” Service
- Brake fluid replacement every two years.
- “B” Service. This service generally requires engine air, fuel and pollen filter replaced a transmission service, and fuel filter replacement.
- Approximately after 2009, Mercedes decided to change their service scheduling to 25,000km or 12 months.
- Our experience is that most people will reach 12 months before 25,000km a year of driving.
- Their major “B” service requirements changed depending on the model, petrol, diesel, sedan or SUV. It has become quite complicated, depending on which model you own. However as general rule 50,000km is a major service.
- However, some petrol models require spark plugs to be replaced every 75,000km. Some transmission services are due at 50,000km and some are due at over 100,000km.
- Autohaus Northshore is happy to guide you through what your car is due for and when, as this can changed the prices of services dramatically.
- For low mileage vehicles, we are happy to discuss your service options. However, whilst your vehicle is under warranty, we will follow the service schedule as described by Mercedes-Benz to ensure your warranty is not voided. After that, we consider all aspects of the vehicle’s age and mileage and make recommendations based on that.
- For older model Mercedes-Benz vehicles which do not have service reminders, we follow the 15,000km or 12 month schedule. They generally have a major service every 60,000kms or four years.
